Which PetSafe Fence System Should You Get?

Electronic Fence systems utilize underground or above ground boundary wires and electronic collars to safely contain pets. Your pet responds to the stimulation through 2 contact points on the Receiver Collar that touch your pet’s neck. When your dog or other pet approaches the boundary, the collar warns him or her with a beeping alert. If the warning is ignored, a mild electronic stimulus follows the warning. Electronic Fences are a safe, effective and hidden way to contain your pet within his or her boundary so your pet can be contained to your property without having to pay the expensive cost of a traditional fence which can be unsightly. Also a dog may be able to just climb over, dig under or chew through a traditional fence.

This fence features the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver with 5 levels of programmable correction and a Transmitter capable of protecting an area up to 25 acres in size. This fence features the Standard Ultralight Receiver and a transmitter capable of protecting an area up to 25 acres in size. We recommend this pet fence if your pet is 5 pounds or over and trains very easily. The Standard Ultralight Receiver has 1 correction level, similar to level 3 on the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver.


PetSafe Fence Systems are available without boundary wire and boundary flags. You'll get the same transmitter and receivers as come with the PetSafe Fence Systems as described above and the same guidelines apply. You would order a system without boundary wire and boundary flags only if you already have boundary wire installed in your yard. If you are going to use one of our fence systems for a pet that has never been trained on your property, you should add Boundary Flags to your order. You will need a flag every 10 feet for proper training.
